Mini-Refresh

Gotta clean it up guys. I can see the suits parked outside my place. I can't let a blog send me to court. Some of the old posts had to be deleted. It seems 'the company' is not too thrilled with our take on things, so lets try to play fair.

For those of you who would like to play nice for a while, stick around. Let's give them the suggestions they're asking for. The 'former' employees will play nice, if the current employee's will.

You have read our rants and now they are gone (from this URL).

See the previous post for a chain with no name calling....and carry on.

If we can't stay within our legal limits...I'll have to dismantle.

I never knew you couldn't express your personal experiences and observations on a blog...
The things you learn or are taught by Eprize are legion.

Hi everyone, shame the old posts were deleted, they were quite entertaining.

So what am I to say on here? I do appreciate that the posts are getting cleaner and we're coming out with great suggestions. I think a lot of what I think has already been said. I still work at ePrize currently(just to get that out of the way.) And, by some of the definitions here, I must be drinking Kool-Aid because I don't despise it and talk about how much I hate it on a regular basis.

I recognize the problems though, and diz, I'm really sorry that your suggestions were ignored. That is shitty of your manager, whomever that was. I remember a month or two after I first started, when shit was really hitting the fan for me and I was PISSED at what was going on, we were all out at the bar drinking and doing what we did best: complaining about our hard week. Then Sagar said something that stuck with me for some reason: if there's something you don't like about ePrize, change it!
I had been hearing I could do that for a while, but I don't know why it really sunk in at that point. Needless to say, I NEVER stop making suggestions, but after that day I was even more agressive.

Have all my ideas been implemented? No. I'd say at least 75% though. And I know others are in the works. And I keep working on making it better every day. I think my leadership recognizes that, and they are giving me more and more opportunities to do so. It is by no means easy, but I think nothing worthwhile ever is.

Also, I remember from the original deleted posts diz mentioning something about suggestiong being ignored or someone getting fired if you're not part of the "in" crowd or the right religion? Not really sure what the "in" crowd means, I don't feel like anything of the sort, and if by religion you meant Jewish, I'm not that either, so I don't fit that mold.

Anyway, my .02 so far, and I'm happy to answer anyone else's question or debate on any topics with all of you. I realize it's a tough place and needs some work, but I also won't go insulting anyone. If you have found a place where you are more happy, then I say that's awesome! You only have one life to live so you might as well spend it doing something you like, right?

btw, sorry, just realized that was a LONG comment, lol. And, also to clarify, I am NOT part of leaderhip.

I *heart* google's cache and site mirroring.

Interesting to see how long it took for the legal eagles to swoop in.

I wish I could say that all of this discussion would make things better for those who work there. But I had the same conversations when I worked there, the same empty promises, it looks like nothing has changed.

Just remember ePrizers - there is a way out. There are lots of companies hiring in this area. ;)

...Not really sure what the "in" crowd means,...

If you don't understand the statement, my guess is you are in the 'in-crowd' IE one of the popular employees. Being the you mentioned hanging with Sager, that only confirms the notion. (nothin against Sager...the guy is awesome) I'm sure that sounds negative, but it's hard to see the cliques, etc. when you are part of one.

I'm glad to hear you're having a great experience at the company, I wish you much success and hope you will continue to take suggestions to improve the conditions you (all) are working in. And same to you...if you are happy, by all means, carry on.

One fun activity is to open up the shared calendars of people who you may suspect to be in that "in crowd" and see how many outside work activities they're all attending at the same time or take note of when the same folks take off early all on the same day/time. You can really get an account of your social standing that way. :)

Another way is to look at your business card and see if your last name matches up with another employee's.
